The first generation Mini’s use a service interval indicator (SII). The car monitors the mileage and time since its last service and will display one of the following icons:
Oil Service The oil and oil filter in your Mini’s engine should be replaced to ensure optimum performance and help maintain efficiency. The microfilter(s) should also be replaced. |

Inspection I Your Mini requires an Inspection I service. This includes an Oil Service, Microfilter change and additional inspection. |

Inspection II Your Mini requires an Inspection II service. This includes an Oil Service as well as replacement Microfilter, Airfilter and Spark Plugs (petrol) or Fuel Filter (diesel). |

Front Brakes The front brake pads on your Mini are close to their wear limit and need replacing. Your brake discs should also be checked. |

Rear Brakes The rear brake pads on your Mini are close to their wear limit and need replacing. Your brake discs should also be checked. |

Brake Fluid The brake fluid in your Mini should be replaced to maintain optimum performance. |

The second and third generation models feature Condition Based Servicing (CBS), this will monitor the condition of certain service items and report when service work is required. When your car requires servicing, one of the following icons will be displayed:
